What is the Internet speed required to play full hd 1080p youtube video?

I need to watch Full HD 1080p Videos without buffering.

i don’t want it to buffer at any interval..

You need an Internet connection of about 3.5 megabits per second or better in order to watch 1080p videos without buffering.

YouTube compresses 1080p video by about 429:1 in order to stream it. Uncompressed HD video requires a staggering 1500 megabits per second for streaming. Even YouTube doesn’t have that kind of bandwidth, so videos are very aggressively compressed.

im on about 12mbit internet and when no one is using up my internet by downloading/streaming stuff then youtube streams fine for me on 1080p
