How much of a difference is 1080p to 720p on youtube?

I just got a new 1080p monitor and I was wondering if it was worth it to wait significantly longer to watch 1080p than 720p?

J0k3R September 14, 2011 at 8:27 am: There both great qualities, but 1080p beats it by a a bit, so if i was you i’d choose 1080p, but 720p isn’t that bad either

Hell_B September 14, 2011 at 8:27 am: 1080p is better than 720p,but with a monitor the difference is barely noticeable because the pixels are very small.the difference is noticeable with hdtv higher than 40"
