Are there any accessories sold for the PS2 that would make it look better on an HDTV?

by admin on September 7, 2011

I don’t mean component cables. I already have those. Is there any sort of device that could make it look as if it were on a PS3 with the smoothing option turned on? I’ve heard of the Xploder PS2 HDTV Player but it’s apparently no longer sold.

dont think so, the best you can do is get the smallest hdtv that is capable of 1080p resolution.av multi/component cables are the only output for the ps2 and the ps2′s graphics processor is not meant to be displayed at a high resolution. im guessing the best you can do is use an adapter if there are any like idk if it exists but a component to hdmi? but whatever you did you wouldnt see any difference that would make you go wow or actually any difference at all. idk if you know alot about computers but yeah no matter what it always jus depends on the graphics card, and the monitor/tv in your case. you cant change the graphics card on a console either if your really into making games look great at different resolutions and sharper clarities get a gaming pc. tv’s usually support a max of 1080p resolution. one of the reasons why a ps2 cant look sharp on a tv is also because tv’s are big and the bigger the display whether tv or monitor the bigger resolution is needed. and the ps2 doesnt support a high resolution and even if you took a great gaming pc that supports huge resolutions you still couldnt cuz even the best hdtv’s only support a max of 1080p resolutions. so a short answer to your question would be no, and even if there were you’d be getting hyped on something that wont make a diference and be wasting time and money. hope that helped.
